Bill Beedie [Secretary] and John Owen [Captain] were on parade at Highnam Families Day to promote the Gloucestershire Masonic Bowling Association. “Whilst we cater for experienced bowlers, we also welcome those who have never played before,” said John. “And we’ve signed up six interested parties so far today,” added Bill. As the current national champions, the Gloucestershire players take part in the Masonic Annual Charity Event [MACE], which raises funds for the likes of Marie Curie and Macmillan Cancer Support. Over £60,000 has been raised in recent years.
