Royal Edward’s ‘Home Visit Brigade’

A band of brethren from Royal Edward Lodge regularly gather forces to strike out for distant parts to visit brethren who find it difficult getting to lodge.   Of late, they have been to Taunton and Portishead, and this week they were in Malmesbury, visiting George Brittan who celebrates his 99th birthday in December.  He is seen here with Jim Philip, the lodge almoner.  “George is fiercely independent and inspirational in the way he copes with his mobility challenges,” said Colin Bendon.  “He is as bright as a tack and there’s certainly nothing wrong with his appetite!”

You can read more of the travels of the ‘Home Visit Brigade’ in Squaretalk.  A link to the all-new online summer edition should be popping up in your inbox week commencing 15th July.
