International speaker and Surrey mason, Mike Neville [centre], was the guest of Gloucestershire Masonic Society at Stroud, presenting another of his entertaining lectures. Addressing thirty-plus members and guests, his subject on this occasion was Masonry and the West End . . . a fascinating exposé of intrigue and occasional scandal, among London’s stars of the stage.
After the meeting there was an opportunity to discuss the finer points with Mike; as here in deep conversation with Prince of Wales Lodge members, Charles Perkins and Ross Weaver. The Society hopes to run a summer trip to London’s East End, to join Mike on another of his tours, identifying masonic connections along those historic streets. There will also be a guided tour of Gloucester Cathedral on 7th June, exploring the many masonic connections there; the day shared with guests from the Bristol Masonic Society. Interested?
