Hitting the Heights with St John’s Lodge

St John’s Lodge looks back over the year as it goes into summer recess. The lodge, which meets at Kingshill House in Dursley, has had a particularly successful year. The current popularity of the St John’s Lodge is  demonstrated by the number of new members joining which has necessitated extra meetings. The St Patrick’s and St George’s day meetings as usual proved especially successful ones during the year.

The year ended with a presentation to Hanna Parker who works at the Oak at Kingshill who is hitting the heights. She is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Meningitis Research UK. The donation from this lodge is just one example of the support given by Gloucestershire Freemasons to their community. In 2022 Freemasons in Gloucestershire gave over £243,000 to local charities. In addition to that they donated over £330,000 to buy scanners for Gloucester, Cheltenham and Southmead hospitals.
