Highnam Family Fun Day Welcomes ‘Not Forgotten’ Charity Guests

The annual family day at Highnam is fast approaching and has become one of the main attractions during the masonic summer recess. This year’s event will also be extra special as we will, for the first time, be welcoming guests from the Not Forgotten charity. This new initiative has been supported by our recently established Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) committee and will see fifty guests from the charity join us for a day of fun in the sun (fingers crossed).

The Not Forgotten charity provides social activities and outings for veterans and wounded serving personnel. Our family fun day is the perfect opportunity to connect with those who have given so much to our country.

While this is the first such event the AFC committee have supported we hope to continue this initiative on a yearly basis to ensure that we live up to our commitment to support our Armed Forces community, and strengthen our ties with the Not Forgotten charity. We are sure their presence at Highnam will offer a fantastic opportunity to connect with, and support, our veterans.

Whilst we appreciate that most of you will be attending with family and friends, we strongly encourage all brethren, particularly those who have served, to take a moment to go and say hello, have a conversation and make them feel truly welcome; you will no doubt make a meaningful difference to their day.

Let’s make this year’s Highnam Family Fun Day memorable and heart warming for all, especially our honoured guests from the Not Forgotten charity.
