Provincial Grand Lodge Of Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire Masonic Widows and Friendship Groups

Gloucestershire Masonic Widows and Friendship Groups

The Association was formed in 1990 to provide friendship, support and social activities for all widows and partners of Freemasons in Gloucestershire.

Having originally been set up for widows the Association has evolved over the years and each branch now takes its own individual approach to how they are run. Some branches now include widowers at their meetings, while some also involve wives of Freemasons and friends to join them at events or on organised day trips.

There are currently five branches meeting in:

  • Cheltenham
  • Cirencester
  • Downend
  • Gloucester & Forest of Dean
  • Stroud

A new friendship is also being started to cover the Wotton/Dursley and Vale areas.

Meetings typically take place once a month with a 10.30 start. All branches have an active calendar of events planned throughout the year.
