Although named the ‘Gloucestershire’ Masonic Society it does not have provincial membership boundaries. Brethren from other Provinces are more than welcome to join and attend our meetings.
We do ask that members are Master Masons, who are subscribing members of Craft Lodges.

We have an extensive library, comprising over 600 titles.
Our library and current list of titles are maintained by the GMS at Wotton under Edge and is available to all members. Contact the Secretary for access times. List of current Officers.
A meeting often involves the presentation of a paper (see programme list). This will be on a subject of Masonic interest; but you will be amazed at just how wide and varied that brief can be!
We normally arrange a light meal before or after the meeting and lively discussion is encouraged!
Accounts of our meetings are reported on the Provincial website; simply search ‘GMS’ in the News section for previous presentations.
We arrange a number of Masonic-themed trips – sometimes to Masonic centres (such as Bath and Bristol), sometimes to observe ritual of interest, and of course we sometimes visit specialist locations, such as the Toye, Kenning & Spencer regalia manufactory.
There are no formal ceremonies and regalia is not worn. We aim to have at least one excursion per season.
We run an annual essay competition, the winner of which is presented with a specially designed Bristol Blue firing glass.
Membership is open to all Master Masons by completing a brief online application form and subscription is currently only £5 per annum.
We simply ask for your name, lodge number, preferred email and phone number. and preferred payment method. That’s it, once you submit you get an immediate confirmation that your submission has gone to our team, who will then manually verify your membership from our records.
You will receive an email confirming all is in order. Depending on how you chose to pay we will ask you to send your £5.00 using the payment details below or a cheque. The same details can also be used to pay for subs (standing order preferred), trips and dining).
