Gloucestershire Freemasonry Appoints New Deputy

The new head of Freemasonry in Gloucestershire, Ian Davies, will be appointed as Provincial Grand Master at the Annual Provincial Meeting on Saturday 25th May 2024. It will be at that meeting that David Mason will step down as Deputy Provincial Grand Master of Gloucestershire. David has been a senior member of the Executive of the Province since 2011. He steps down at his own request to assist the ongoing and long-planned installation of younger brethren as Rulers of this Province, to ensure continuity and minimise change during the upcoming 5-year festival period. He will continue serve the Province in a senior non-executive capacity for the next few years. Province thanks David Mason for his sterling service during his period of office

At that meeting Mark Smith will be promoted from Assistant Provincial Grand Master to Deputy Provincial Grand Master. The Province offers its congratulations and best wishes to Mark Smith.
