About

Stroud Freemasons’ Hall

12 The Hill Merrywalks Stroud GL5 4EP

The first house built on the site was constructed in 1635 and the original stonework and doorway are a striking example and feature of the building as you approach the main entrance. Over many years the property has been extended and developed and in the 1960’s was purchased as a Freemasons’ Hall and completely redeveloped by Stroud Freemasons. These improvements and enhancements continue today, most recently with the completion of a fully refurbished commercial kitchen fitted out with the latest catering equipment and appliances enabling up to 80 guests to be dined and entertained in a fully air conditioned dining room and licensed bar. The Events team, Berry Blue Ltd, is readily available to discuss all potential bookings or catering requirements.

Situated in landscaped gardens with good parking facilities and conveniently located within a short walk from the historic market town of Stroud. The Freemasons’ Hall also provides a stunning 17th Century location for Weddings, Business Meetings, Corporate Events and Social Occasions.

The property benefits from a fully serviced business centre situated on the first and second floors commanding spectacular views of the Stroud Valleys and providing over 3000 square feet of office space which is available to let on flexible terms from individual offices to single occupancy arrangements.

Accessibility

Freemasons are judged on the content of their character, not any disability that they may have. We welcome everyone and we will always be ready to lend a helping hand when required.

Many of our meeting places were built before disabilities were fully considered; many have protected status making major adaptations difficult. But Freemasons in themselves will adapt and assist Brethren, and visitors, to fully participate and enjoy the facilities.
