Deaf Children go to the Pantomime Thanks to Freemasons

Every year the Gloucestershire Deaf Association subsidise tickets for deaf children and their families to attend the only BSL (sign language) interpreted pantomime at the Everyman in Cheltenham. They offer one hundred tickets to hearing impaired children aged up to eighteen along with family members which of course usually sell out.

When the Lodge of Grace, based in Wotton under Edge, heard about this wonderful trip which GDA needed to raise funds for they happily chipped in with a donation of £750.00

Our picture shows Chris Riley, charity steward of The Lodge of Grace, presenting the cheque to Elizabeth Oliver (BSL interpreter) Mary Hailes (GDA office manager) and Sally Gillespie (Fundraising Manager).

Sally said ‘We fundraise for this every year and this wonderful donation of £750 will be going directly towards the cost. We are very grateful to the Freemasons of the Lodge of Grace for helping make this possible.’
