Tour of Jenner Museum follows Almoner Workshop

On 23rd March Jonathan Steel held an Almoner* workshop in the conference centre at the Jenner Museum in Berkeley. After the workshop some of the brethren had a private tour of the Jenner Museum, the house where Bro Edward Jenner worked when he discovered vaccination. Bro Jenner was Master of the Royal Lodge of Faith and Friendship 270 in Berkeley. His house is now looked after by the Jenner Trust, a charity which is chaired by our Provincial Grand Almoner, who was also a Dr in the Berkeley Vale.

The photograph is of the “Care of Almoners” along with Jonathan outside the Jenner Museum.

We thank Dom Blake for providing the photograph

* The Almoners duties include keeping in touch with all Lodge members, especially those who for various reasons are unable to attend Lodge. To provide help and support to those members and their families who are ill, providing additional support via the Masonic Charities if required.
