When life can be all beer and skittles!
The Avonmouth Tavern was once more the venue for an exciting inter-lodge tussle; the first match to be arranged since Covid. Lodges which meet at the masonic hall across the road compete with some fervour for this prestigious Skittles Cup; Dougie Cook of Kings Weston Lodge proudly accepting the trophy here from organiser, Andy Holdsworth. Non-playing team captain, Dougie, steered his players to a nine-pin win against their nearest rivals, to the strains of “We are the champions” aptly playing on someone’s phone.
