£700.00 Raised at St George’s Day Lunch at Light and Reflection

St George’s Day lunch raises £700 for charities

Members and guests of the Lodge of Light and Reflection filled the dining room at Avonmouth to celebrate St George’s Day. Traditional English fayre was followed by some robust patriotic singing, whilst the obligatory raffle was augmented by a ‘Heads & Tails’; the prize being a spectacular M&S hamper. The Worshipful Master, Steve Rickwood, joyfully announced that a total of £700 was raised on the day . . . to be equally split between Childrens’ Hospice Southwest and Project 21 which is providing mobile scanning equipment for the The Royal Gloucestershire, Cheltenham and Southmead hospitals.

We thank Dick Smith for this report.
