Following Gloucester Rugby’s Ed Slater announcing his diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease [MND] last year, the ‘4Ed’ campaign was created to raise awareness and funding in support of Ed and his family’s battle with the disease. Phil Vickery was amongst the stars who were present at the Adrian Davies Lodge of Rugby Union to accept a lodge cheque for £3000 towards the campaign from the Master, Adrian ‘Knocker’ Knox.
The main business of the evening was to pass Sam Arnott, Lydney RFC’s director of rugby. Afterwards, around 120 members and guests were present to enjoy a busy festive board, topped by an entertaining speech from Bro Vickery. Gloucester RFC captain, Lewis Ludlow, was also on hand to present Peter Trotman of Seven Springs Lodge with a shirt signed by Italian international, Callum Braley.
